Overview of Shanghai Masters 2023
In early October, ATP Tour will welcome the next ATP 1000 Award, Shanghai Masters. This is a tournament only for male tennis players, held in Shanghai City, China.
This year, Shanghai Masters will take place from October 2 to October 9. Earlier, the tournament was postponed for 3 years due to the influence of Covid-19 pandemic. The nearest champion of the tournament is Daniil Medvedev, with the title in 2019.
Shanghai Masters 2023 will have 96 players in the main round of each single content. The players will play in the form of Best of Three, with a series of tie-breaks reaching point 7. Of which, 32 leading seed players will be exempted from round 1.
At Shanghai Masters this year, Novak Djokovic did not participate. The No. 1 seed is Carlos Alcaraz. Meanwhile, the No. 2 seed is Daniil Medvedev.
