Information of Davis Cup finals 2022

After the US Open, the attention will be directed to the Davis Cup finals. This is a male tennis tournament between countries, organized by the World Tennis Federation. The Davis Cup 2022 finals are divided into 2 phases: the group stage (September 13-18) and the knockout round (November 22-27).

Currently, after the qualifying round, 16 teams won tickets to play the finals. These 16 teams are divided into 4 groups, each team 4 teams. The competition format is as follows: The teams in the 4 tables will compete in a circle. 2 first and second teams each group will win tickets to the quarterfinals. The matches at the Davis Cup finals will take place in the form of “Best of Three”. In particular, there will be 2 single battles and 1 double match.

At the end of the group stage, 8 teams winning tickets to the quarterfinals will be revealed. After that, the knockout round will take place from November 22-27 at Martin Carpena Arena (Malaga, Spain).
The Davis Cup 2022 finals will not have the presence of Russia – the defending champion. Accordingly, Russia has been banned from attending due to the consequences of the conflict in Ukraine. Serbia is a replacement name.
