Kei Nishikori is the leading Japanese player today. He was the first Asian male tennis player to reach the Grand Slam final when he won the runner -up position in the US Open 2012. In 2016, Kei Nishikori was shocked to beat Rafael Nadal in the Olympic Games of the Rio Olympic Games, thereby helping Japan to first win the tennis medal in the gymnastics after 96 years of waiting.

This summer, Kei Nishikori's Japan is the Olympic host country. After a year of being postponed by Covid-19, Japan is determined to organize Toyko 2021 at all costs. Even so, Kei Nishikori admitted how he did not know how the Olympic Games would take place, especially 10,000 athletes around the world gathered to a competition.

Kei Nishikori said: “I don't know what the organizers are thinking, I don't know if they anticipate the bubbles they create or not, because the Olympic Games are not the tournament with only 100 attendees.”

“10,000 people will gather in a village to play a tournament. I don't think it's easy, especially for what is happening in Japan.”

Besides Nishikori, two female Naomi Osaka and Serena Williams also expressed concern about the safety at the Tokyo Olympic Games. Recently, Japan has extended the emergency in Tokyo and three other areas until the end of May, causing many people to doubt the Olympic possibility that it took place as planned (July 23 to August 8).
