WTA Finals is the final tournament for 8 best female players of the year. This year, the tournament was held in Guadalajara, Mexico instead of in Tianjin, China as expected. The reason comes from the complicated effects of Covid-19 pandemic.
This is the first time Mexico has hosted WTA Finals. According to the announcement of the World Tennis Federation, WTA Finals next year will return to Tianjin. The city still has a contract to host until 2030.
