At the end of 2020, Dayana Yastremska tested doping and was detected positive for mesterolone – a banned substance that had an assimilation and increased protein in cells. As a result, Ukrainian female players have been banned from playing since then. At Australian Open 2021, she even arrived in Melbourne but was still named by BTC from the race.
Last time, Yastremska still struggled continuously to prove himself innocent. First, she filed an appeal to the independent court of the International Tennis Federation (ITF). However, the request of the Ukrainian tennis player was rejected on January 23, when she was in Melbourne in the hope of being expanded in Australia.
In February, Yastremska continued to appeal to the International Sports Arbitration Court (CAS) but failed. By May this year, CAS once again rejected the fox of the 21 -year -old player.

On the homepage, ITF announced: “ITF accepts Yastemska's explanation for the positive test results with Mesterolone, and determined that Yastemska was innocent. Yastremska's temporary ban on immediately removed. Currently, she is eligible to participate in normal competition.”
Getting used to tennis at the age of 5, Yastremska had the first WTA title in Hong Kong Open 2018.
