Rafael Nadal has just had a talent for Brisbane International 2024 after nearly a year of a break. Here, the Spaniard came to the quarterfinals and had just lost to Jordan Thompson.
Notably, Nadal was unfortunately injured. In the last match against Thompson, the world's No. 1 had to rely on the care of the doctors in Set 3. He also moved quite difficult and accepted the racket after the game lasted more than 3 hours.

After careful inspection, Nadal recently announced sad news to the fans. He confirmed that withdrawal from Australia expanded 2024 due to injury.
“In my last match in Brisbane, I had a small problem in my body. As you all know, it made me very worried.
When I came to Melbourne, I took MRI. The results showed that I had a muscle torn. The tear is also quite small, and not in the position that I had previously injured. This is a good news.
However, sad news is that I cannot play in Australia this year. Currently I am not ready to play at the highest level in 5 set matches. I will fly to Spain to see a doctor, treat and rest.

I really want to participate in the first Grand Slam of the year, before the enthusiastic audiences in Melbourne. I have worked very hard for the whole year for this comeback and as I always mentioned, my goal is to achieve the best form in 3 months, ”Nadal said.
Australia expanded 2024 to officially start on January 14.
