Rafael Nadal likes to cook

“I am not someone who can do thousands of different things, but I really love what I do and I am very interested in cooking,” the Spaniard recently shared.

Nadal said he also liked himself to the market or supermarket in Manacor to “personally choose fish”. “After that, I will prepare food at home with potatoes, onions … and a lot of oil,” he said, adding that this is one of his “favorite” and “cooking” dishes.

According to the player who won these 20 Gran Slam titles, his hometown is famous for “fish and delicious shrimp”, so he wants to cook them in the “simplest way” to keep the maximum natural flavor for the dish.

“Soller shrimp grilled, very wonderful,” Nadal said. The player also likes noodles but ate them less recently because he had to pay attention to his diet.

In the previous weeks of the Australian Open, Rafael Nadal faced some physical problems. The player feels severe back pain and cannot prepare for the first Grand Slam of the year in the best condition.

In fact, Nadal missed all the single battles that he would play at the ATP Cup and continue to treat his back during the Australian Open. In Melbourne, he reached the quarterfinals and lost unfortunately against Stefanos Tsitsipas.

After the tournament, Nadal decided to rest more to recover 100% physical. He withdrew from Mexican Open and Dubai Open, and just announced not to attend Miami Open.
