“I am really disappointed to announce that I will not be able to play in Laver Cup in Berlin next week. This is a team tournament. To be able to devote to the European team, I have to be in the best condition. Currently, there are better players who can help the team win.

I have a lot of great memories and emotional in Laver Cup. I really look forward to my side with my teammates as well as Bjorn. This is the last year he is the captain. I wish the European team good luck and will cheer them from afar. ”
With Nadal withdrawal, Grigor Dimitrov is the name chosen instead. He will join Alexander Zverev, Carlos Alcaraz, Daniil Medvedev, Casper Ruud and Stefanos Tsitsipas to play for Europe. On the other side of the battle line, the world's team players are Taylor Fritz, Frances Tiafoe, Ben Shelton, Francisco Cerundolo, Thanasi Kokkakinis and Alejandro Tabilo.
Laver Cup is a team tournament, taking place between players in two teams: European tennis team and the rest of the world. In particular, the world team includes players from countries that are not in Europe. This year, the tournament takes place from September 20 to 22 in Berlin (Germany).

Laver Cup can be awake as follows: The teams will win 1 point if winning the first day of competition, 2 points on the second and third day of competition on the third day. Each day the competition will have 4 matches including 3 single battles and a double battle.
