Nadal said that he felt 'an important part of his life was gradually leaving' when Federer no longer played professionally. After Matteo Berrettini defeated Alex De Minaur/Jack Sock to help the European team lead to the score of 8-4, Djokovic also broadcast the same message.

After that statement, Djokovic directed to the fans present at The O2 Arena to ask if they wanted Federer to return. The audience appreciates that proposal by making a passionate applause.
