After the US Open 2022, the focus of the world felt village is the Davis Cup finals. This is a male tennis tournament between countries, organized by the World Tennis Federation. This year, the tournament will take place in 2 stages-from 13-18 September and 22-27 November.
In the first stage, the group stage will take place. After the qualifying period, the 16 best teams reached the final round. Of these, the defending champion, Russia, was eliminated by the consequence of the conflict in Ukraine.
In the group stage, 16 teams were divided into 4 groups, each group 4 teams. The competition format is as follows: The teams in the 4 tables will compete in a circle. 2 first and second teams each group will win tickets to the quarterfinals.
The matches at the Davis Cup finals will take place in the form of “Best of Three”. In particular, there will be 2 single battles and 1 double match.
According to the BTC announcement, the stage of the Davis Cup 2022 finals will be held in 4 different locations corresponding to each table, specifically as follows:
Table A – Unipol Arena (Bologna, Italy)
Table B – Pavelló Municipal Font De Sant Lluís (Valencia, Spain)
Table C – Am Rothenbaum (Hamburg, Germany)
Table D – Emirates Arena (Glasgow, Scotland)
At the end of the group stage, the 2022 Davis Cup finals identified eight teams to reach the quarterfinals: Table A: Italy, Croatia, Group B: Canada, Spain, Group C: Germany, Australia, Table D: Netherlands, USA.
The knockout round will take place from November 22-27 Martin Carpena Arena (Malaga, Spain).
