On June 30, Wimbledon 2025 will officially start. This is the third Grand Slam of the year, after Australian Open and Roland Garros. The tournament was held in the UK, on the pitch.
According to the notice from the All England Lawn Tennis Club (AELTC), Wimbledon 2025 will set a new record for the bonus fund. Accordingly, the total amount of up to 53.5 million pounds (about 72.59 million USD) – an increase of 7% compared to last year and double the reward a decade ago.

Two men's and women's singles will receive 3 million pounds (US $ 4.07 million). This is the highest reward of the 4 Grand Slam tournaments today. This figure increased by 11.1% compared to the amount that Carlos Alcaraz and Barbora Krejcikova received by 2024.
Notably, the players eliminated from the first round of the single content will also receive 66,000 pounds, an increase of 10% compared to last year. Meanwhile, the content bonuses increased by 4.4%, men and women increased by 4.3%, and wheelchair content also recorded an increase of 5.6%.
This decision of AELT was made in the context of more and more top stars calling for increasing bonuses at Grand Slam tournaments, to ensure a more fair allocation of revenue between athletes groups. Mrs. Deborah Jevans – President of Aelttc said:
“We listened to the players' opinions, and had a direct exchange with them. However, the focus on the bonuses in the four Grand Slam tournaments will not solve the challenges that tennis are facing.
