Recently, the World Tennis Association (ATP) has announced a new score system for the World Men's Radio Rankings. These changes will be applied since 2024, specifically as follows:
The champion of the Grand Slam tournament still receives 2000 points as before. However, the runner -up will be increased from 1200 to 1300 points. Similarly, the coronary player in the Masters 1000 tournament still receives 1000 points, and the runner -up will receive 650 points, more than 50 points compared to before.

Notably, this new score system only applies to the application content. Therefore, the score in the double content remains the same. Meanwhile, ATP Challenger Tour events will have a slight decrease in score.
These changes are aimed at optimizing the distribution of points after the Masters 1000 tournament increased to 96 matches in the main round. In addition, it also brings a balance when the higher -class tournaments of ATP Challenger are increasing significantly since 2023.
From the above changes, it can be seen that the players in the top 50 will benefit more in strengthening their position. In contrast, players outside the top 100 will face more challenges in the top competition.

The reason is because of participating in Masters 1000 tournaments determined by the ranking of the World Ranking. Therefore, it will be very difficult for players to attend the Challenger Tour to increase their ranking to gain the right to participate in higher tournaments and earn more points.
