This morning 8/5, Madrid Open 2023 has just entered the final day of competition. Accordingly, the men's singles final took place. This is the competition between the No. 1 seed Carlos Alcaraz and Jan-Lennard Struff.

Being led 1 set, Struff played hard at Set 2. German player won the break soon in Game 2 to lead 3-0. At game 5, Alcaraz has up to 5 break-point but does not take advantage of success. In the rest of the set, Struff preserves the advantage and won 6-3, thereby equalizing 1-1.
To set 3 decisions, Alcaraz showed the bravery of the defending champion. After successfully rescuing the break-point in game 4, he took the lead before winning the break in game 4. Struff then could not reclaim the break, thereby accepting the racket with defeat 3-6.
In the end, Alcaraz won 6-4, 3-6, 6-3 to Struff and successfully defended the Madrid Open championship. This is also the 4th title of the 20 -year -old tennis player this season. Notably, he will rise to the first throne in the world after playing the first match in Rome Masters.
