Ashleigh Barty will not play in the upcoming Master 1000 tournament, Indian Wells and Miami Open. The decision was revealed by the world's No. 1 female player in an interview with wtatennis.com.
“I want to share updates about my upcoming schedule. Unfortunately, I could not recover as expected after Australian Open.
I have no full preparation for Indian Wells and Miami. I do not believe that myself is at the necessary level to win these events. That's why I decided to withdraw. It was sad to attend because I love both tournaments”, Ashleigh Barty shared.
