Rafael Nadal won the right to attend the 2022 Australian Final after surpassing Matteo Berrettini with a score of 3-1. The score of the first semi-finals are 6-3, 6-2, 3-6 and 6-3 respectively.
This is the 6th time the Spanish tennis player reached the Australian Open final. If the upcoming final victory, Nadal will become the first player to win 21 Grand Slam.

Sharing after surpassing MtTeo Berrettini, Nadal admitted herself happiness with this victory. He also revealed that he had never thought of playing at Rod Raver on the last day of men's singles.
“Australian Open is always an important tournament for me. In the final match, it was astonished because I encountered some problems a few days ago.
Sometimes I play well in the final (with Novak Djokovic in 2012 and with Roger Federer in 2017) but not winning. I won the Australian Open once in 2009 but never thought of another opportunity by 2022. Just enjoy today's victory and then try my best in the upcoming match.”, Rafael Nadal said.

Rafael's achievement when playing the Australian finals is not too impressive. In the previous 5 participating, Nadal won only 1 victory (against Roder Federer with a score of 3-2 in 2009). The remaining 4 matches, he lost Djokovic (2012 and 2019), Stan Wawrinka (2014) and Roger Federer (2017).
Nadal's opponent in this year's Australian final is the remaining semi -final winner between Daniil Medvedev and Stefanos Tsitsipas.
