Ashleigh Barty ends the thirst for Australia's 44 -year expansion of expansion

The 2022 Australian Women's Women's Women's final ended with the impressive victory of the world's No. 1 player Ashleigh Barty. The Australian athletes played against Danielle Collins in Set 1 to win 6-3 overwhelming victory. In the second set, despite being 1-5, Barty showed his level when he won 7-6 in the tiebreak series.

By defeating Collins after 2 sets, Barty won the third Grand Slam title in his career. This victory is even more meaningful when this is the first Australian application championship of the host country Australia after 44 years. Before Barty, the nearest Australian player in Australia expanded was Christine O'Neil in 1987.

Notably, Barty did not lose a set of a set in the journey to win the Grand Slam at home. The 25 -year -old defeated three American rivals in a row to reach the final against another American Collins. The only Grand Slam title she has not yet won is the US expanded. Although Barty won the title of women in New York in 2018 with American partners Coco Vandeweghe.
