After nearly a year sitting out of injury, Rafael Nadal was re -appeared at the beginning of the 2024 season. However, the Spanish tennis player only attended a single event, Brisbane International, then repeatedly withdrew from the tournaments.
Currently, the clay season has officially started. Fans are looking forward to Nadal's return, because this is his forte. After being absent from Monte Carlo Masters, the Spanish star will return to play at Barcelona Open.
Sharing at the press conference before the tournament, Nadal said: “I came here after making a decision at the last minute. Before that, I still didn't know if I could play. But tomorrow I will play.
“For me, going to Barcelona Open is a gift. I will see this as my last season here. I want to enjoy every moment.”
According to the draw results, Nadal will meet the opponent of Italian – Flavio Cobolli in the first round. If he won, he would confront Alex De Minaur in the second round. Minaur is in good shape when he has just reached the quarterfinals of Monte Carlo Masters.
Barcelona Open is a tournament in the ATP 500 category. The tournament will take place from April 15 to April 22.
